| Lori Bakker - Moron, Imbecile or Idiot? |
I'm just watching Lori for the first time in about a week. She's been absent this whole time that Jim's been running around Mississippi in the NOW News van, but she's back on the show and she's turned up full blast. I think she had some botox done or maybe another face-tightening, she's very shiny and bright. What strikes me most about Lori after having watched her for years is that she's an idiot. Whereas her husband Jim Bakker is conniving and manipulative, Lori is just cluelessly drinking Jim's Kool-Aid.
Now, I don't doubt Lori Graham 'Daffy' Bakker is motivated by money just like Papa Jim. But in pursuit of that money she seems to really believe what Jim is saying (even when Jim doesn't even believe it). The way she intently reads those Bible verses that Jim cites to sell product, you'd think she was reading a fashion magazine or celebrity gossip mag. Through Jim, she can make a little money and put on that annoying air of trailer park affluence. But she's not just smelling opportunity in Jim now; it seems like she's starting to like him in a high school math teacher kinda way.

This leads me to wonder whether 'Daffy' Bakker is really of low intelligence? When I reflect on past episodes, she always seems to be one step short of everyone else. And she has outbursts at weird intervals, a lot of times you can see it throw Jim off-track when he's already halfway into his spiel. Jim has even corrected her on-camera via nudges and hand squeezes. Is that because he knows no other way to control her but through painful stimuli? I wonder if he also smacks her with a rolled up newspaper when they're at that nice Morningside Condo of theirs? And the woman had not one, not two, not even three...but five abortions. Honestly, does she even have a brain?
