Ron Johnson is on a
mission from God. The Colorado-based blogger's wicked satire covers
the ongoing misadventures of televangelist Jim Bakker. Yes, that
Jim Bakker, the man who once ruled the Christian television world
through PTL and Heritage USA before spectacularly imploding in front
of an international television audience. Jim Bakker was charged and ultimately
served time in federal prison on multiple counts of
mail and wire fraud, including a single count of conspiracy. He
claims to be a changed man. According to Ron Johnson, he isn't.
Ron Johnson's blog
makes for fascinating and often-times hysterical reading. I reached
out to him through his blog, to see if he would agree to an interview
with me. After multiple verifications of my identity, he agreed to
meet me at a busy Starbucks in Boulder. He arrives early, wide-eyed
and jumpy, with an awkward swagger about him. His brow is heavily
furrowed, yet his eyes are warm and he wears a nervous smile. We
greet each other, he shakes my hand, and I'm immediately hit with the
sense that this Ron Johnson, the person receiving so much hate from
his underground blog, is just a normal chap. I like him already.
[Stone] Thank you
for taking the time to sit down with us Ron.
[RJ] Hey no problem
dude. I'm honored.
[Stone] Honored?
[RJ] Sure. Who
would ever think I'd be interviewed for making fun of some obscure
televangelist and his tv show? Certainly not me.
[Stone] Are you
surprised?
[RJ] [laughs] Very.
[Stone] You seem a
little nervous?
[RJ] [laughs] I'm a
nervous guy. Well, not nervous, but fidgety. It's hard for me to sit
still because my mind is always running.
[Stone] Alright, so
tell us a little bit about yourself.
[RJ] Well, there's
not much to say really. I'm a pretty boring guy. I work a lot and I
watch a lot of tv.
[Stone] By a lot of
tv, do you mean The Jim Bakker Show?
[RJ] Actually, no.
I only watch Jim Bakker when I'm gearing up for a blog post.
[Stone] [surprised]
Really?
[RJ] Yeah. When I
first started this thing, I would watch him pretty regularly to find
out what kind of shady stuff he was up to. Now, I just don't have the
time. When I'm writing, it's an all-consuming thing. I have to lay
off a lot nowadays, otherwise I'd never sleep. My mind is very active
when I'm writing.
[Stone] So describe
your blog to me.
[RJ] Well, my blog
began as just a hobby. I had watched Bakker during the preceding
years [of the blog], and was just completely disgusted with him. So I
thought, what the hell, I'll start writing about him online, giving
my opinion on what I see going on.
[Stone] Just like
that?
[RJ] Yeah, just
like that. I had no idea where I was going with it, I just started
writing. I remember one of my first posts, Bakker had this guy named
Glen Eschelstein or Eschelman, something like that, he had him on and
the guy had a big bleach stain on his jacket. Or maybe it was makeup.
Either way, this Eschelman dude is on tv with a big obnoxious mark on
his jacket and I thought it was funny, so I mentioned it.
[Stone] I remember
that post, and I remember the stain. I think it was makeup.
[RJ] [laughs] You'd
think someone would have caught that and fixed it before showtime,
right?
Directly over the Hairless Ape's shoulder is another person who makes me suspicious; I suspect that Jim may have actually hired a waterhead for piano duties. I know waterhead is not a nice word, but I first heard it from Jim's own mouth when he used it to describe a retarded person. And I think that's what I'm seeing wearing a blue vest and pounding away on the Morningside piano right now. Maybe Slick Jim reversed the musician payment deal on him, telling him that instead of being paid to play on the show, he has to pay Jim to play. However it happened, somehow, some way, he's there.
F-B: Hairless Ape, Waterhead, Morningside Strangler
I don't know where in the hell the old piano player Chubbs went. The band is probably wondering the same thing. That is, except for Guitarist Joey. As discussed a few times over the past year, I suspect the smooth-handed Joey may be moonlighting as the Morningside Strangler, luring people into his van to check out 8-tracks, then giving his smooth hands a workout. I don't think Joey's wondering about Chubbs:
[Drummer] "Hey Joey, you seen Chubbertini around lately?"
Guitarist Joey: "Ain't nobody seeing Chubbs again." [Guitarist Joey] [dismissive tone] "Nah, I ain't seen him."[Pops the Bass Player] "Say, wasn't he going to help you install a tape deck in your van last weekend?"[Joey] [gruffly] "He didn't show up."[Pops] [innocently] "Didn't show up? That's strange. it's not like Chubbs to not meet his appointments. Say, you don't have his number lying around do ya? Maybe you can call him up?"[Joey] [eyes lower threateningly] "No pops, I don't have his number lying around."[Pops] "Joey, calm down will ya? I just wanna find out where he is, maybe ask around a bit to see if anyone's seen him."[Joey] [smirking] "Ain't nobody seeing him, pops."
And now this new, defenseless piano player has been dropped in there with Joey, defenseless as a feed mouse in a snake tank. Will the Morningside Strangler strike again?
[Stone] [laughs]
Now, I've noticed that your writing style seemed to change from those
early posts. Would you agree?
[RJ] Oh yeah, for
sure. I started out just sort of summarizing the show, giving my
opinion of what I saw, drawing conclusions based on my observations,
that sort of thing. Then at some point, probably around July or so, I
started giving a narrative instead. The posts got longer, and in my
opinion funnier, as I started writing what I thought real-time as
opposed to having to go back in my mind and recall events to
summarize the show.
[Stone] You seem to
have gotten more comedic too.
[RJ] Well, I think
it's always been satire. I'm not a professional comedian and I'm not
an English major, so it's not that I planned to make it satire. It
just is, that's the way I write naturally I guess. Frankly, it's the
way I see the world.
[Stone] [laughing]
Must be an interesting world?
[RJ] [laughing] Oh,
if you only knew. It's like, anytime I engage my critical eye, which
is frequently, I can't help but think of stuff which makes me
chuckle. This applies to myself too by the way, my sense of humor
includes self-deprecation, and if someone makes a joke about me, I
laugh. If it's funny, of course.
[Stone] So your
blog was always satire, but you just changed the way you approached
writing? Is that correct?
[RJ] Exactly. I
went from memory recall for summary, to real-time thought for
narrative, if that's the correct word. I started watching the show
and writing real-time as I watched. That's why my posts grew so large
over time. It's not on purpose, it's just the nature of the beast.
[Stone] How do you
want people to approach your blog?
[RJ] What do you
mean?
[Stone] I mean,
should people read it for humor, read it as an expose, or something
else?
[RJ] I would say
that people should read it for humor and for my commentary, but with
a critical eye. I express my opinion about Jim Bakker and his guests,
sometimes fiercely, but I could always be wrong. That's the nature of
opinion, it's not fact and it can be debated. If I'm wrong about
something, I'm more than happy to change my views. But you gotta show
me where I'm wrong. I'm watching a television show and making
jokes, giving my opinion on what I see, and drawing conclusions based
on my observations. I think that is abundantly clear to my audience.
If it isn't, then you shouldn't be reading it, and you probably
shouldn't be handling knives or other sharp objects either.
Did Jim just return from Florida? |
[RJ] [laughing] How
the fuck would I even know that? What I do know is that Jim and Lori
look remarkable for their age, though please don't confuse
'remarkable' for 'beautiful'. Jim himself had his skin pulled back
tight like a snare drum on the show once, there's a picture of it in
one my posts. That shit was so tight his ears wiggled when he smiled.
And every few months Lori shows up on the show with duck lips or
wearing a hat. Indoors, by the way. She's wearing a hat indoors,
which makes no sense and in some circles is considered rude unless
you're bald. Lori is obviously not bald, so why would she suddenly
show up wearing a hat on the show? To me, that means they're getting
plastic surgery or botox. And when I think plastic surgery, I think
Florida.
I know Lori has
gone to Florida a few times because she's mentioned it on the show.
So I connect the dots to impart my opinion in a funny way, within the
context of whichever blog post it shows up in. So no, I don't know
for sure that they go to Florida for 2-for-1 plastic surgery trips.
Do I think they do? Yeah. I think them going to Florida for plastic
surgery is more likely than them visiting some cross-eyed Ozark
plastic surgeon who's going to fuck up their faces. Oh
wait...[laughs]
[Stone] So it
sounds li...
[RJ] [interrupting]
Let me say something else to this effect too. I don't lie and I don't
mislead, it's not in my character. I write what I think and I try and
make it funny for readers. Yes, I feel an obligation to expose Jim
Bakker and his buddies for what I feel is very suspicious behavior
down in ZombieLand. But I don't need to lie to do that. The fair way
to do this is to do exactly what I do: Express opinion through satire
and commentary. Lying is, frankly, not an option for me. If anyone
feels I've lied, just let me know what it is and why it's a lie. If I
believe you, or if you show me evidence which corrects me, I would
correct myself. The draw of my blog, I think, is that people can see
that I'm not making shit up in the way I express my views. For all
the jokes, there is also that seed of truth which I provide. I don't
mean truth as in this part is true and this part is false. I mean
truth as in, my readers are seeing the same thing I'm seeing. I had a
comment once that said something to that effect, that I am able to
put their thoughts into words for them to read. I don't know
if that makes sense or not?
[Stone] Sounds like
you take truth seriously?
[RJ] Absolutely I
do. Everyone deserves a fair shot. Truth is fair. Lies are not.
[Stone] Do you have
any proof-reading or editor or something, like a relative or friend
to check your work before you're done with it?
[RJ] Nope, it's
just me. I don't let anyone see my work before I'm done with it. It's
all rough draft until that last second when I hit 'post'. The only
thing worse than seeing my jokes out of context are seeing them
unfinished. I consider myself an artist in a sense, and I don't want
people seeing stuff that's incomplete.
[Stone] An artist
eh? Do you paint?
[RJ] [laughing] I
can't draw for shit. I guess what I mean is that...umm... I've found
out through writing this blog that I'm actually a pretty creative
person. I don't physically paint things, but I think I sort of paint
mental pictures for people, and take them down a fun little road in
their minds while they're reading. Let's face it, The Jim Bakker Show
is atrocious to watch for a variety of different reasons. But I make
it fun for people. I've even seen some people leave comments which
sort of copy my flavor and style. I love it! That brings pleasure to
people. Maybe it doesn't bring it to Jim and his buddies, but that's
not my fault. They know what they're doing is wrong, so I really
don't give a fuck whether our laughs are at their expense or not. I
don't have sympathy for people like that. I'm a real polarized dude.
[Stone] [laughs]
Polarized...you know they have medication for that.
[RJ] [laughs] Nah
not like that. I mean, I personally feel that I exist on both ends of
some sort of emotional spectrum. I am very kind-hearted. I don't like
saying that because it's inappropriate to label yourself like that,
but what the hell, as I get older I think I'm just going to accept
it. I feel a very genuine, innate sense of wanting to help people, to
add some kindness to the world. But on the other hand, I feel a
powerful sense of justice. I suppose there's some interplay between
those two poles. [thinking] I would explain it like this: Those
people who are kind and unassuming, just normal people living their
lives, when they are hurt by someone who is taking advantage of them
in some way, then I have no problem at all with treating the
perpetrators like dirt [laughs]. For instance, consider the death
penalty. I'm all for it. I'd even support the death penalty for
something like armed robbery. [laughing] It's not that simple of
course, circumstances are important, but if it's cut and dried, like
you took a gun, you terrorized a person, and you stole their money,
then I say: Goodbye to you. There are good people on this planet, and
you aren't one of them.
[Stone] Let me play
devil's advocate then: What about bloggers who make fun of people in
Jim Bakker's audience by calling them inbreds and zombies?
[RJ] I don't have
sympathy for people who are willfully ignorant. They are perpetuating
Jim's behavior and allowing it to spread to others who may be
unintentionally ignorant. They are not helping the world, in fact
they are detracting from it.
[Stone] But what if
they aren't? What if they're just working a job to try and make ends
meet?
[RJ] Well, if that
is truly the case, then I'm sorry. I don't deny that some people over
in ZombieLand might be in that situation. But consider it this way:
If you are only working there to support yourself, then I hope you'd
understand that any jokes I'd be making in your direction are just
that: jokes. If it were me, I'd sort of be honored.
[Stone] Honored at
being made fun of?
[RJ] [laughing]
Yeah, why not? So I call you fat, or stupid, or cross-eyed? They're
words, who cares. I'm not the prettiest guy in the world, I have
flaws. And people I know make fun of my physical flaws, shit I make
fun of them myself! So what? You're a character in the world I've
created, and you're giving people laughs. Is that so bad? Geez dude,
go smoke a joint and relax. Don't take yourself so seriously.
[Stone] I'm
interested in knowing how long it takes you to construct a blog post.
I know some of them extend to multiple pieces, and in reading the
know they can get pretty complicated. That must take a lot of time?
[RJ] It takes a
shit load of time. Hours upon hours, over multiple days. Keep in
mind, it's not just the writing, it's the image capturing too. I
probably take about a hundred and twenty pictures for each blog post.
Then I choose which ones to use, edit them, and integrate them into
the blog. Then I have to caption them. And keep in mind, all the
while I'm still re-reading and re-writing the text to make it better.
[Stone] And this
isn't your full-time job?
[RJ] [laughing]
Nah. For awhile there, it felt like a full-time job though. Every
weekend I'd be writing this shit, through the afternoon and sometimes
into the night. It became too much man, that's why I started pulling
back a little bit.
[Stone] So would
you say it was burning you out?
[RJ] Oh yeah,
definitely. But the responses I was getting from my readers was worth
it. They thought it was hilarious, and I was very proud to know that
I could make people laugh while also doing what I felt, and still
feel, was a good thing. I was exposing Jim Bakker to the masses.
[Stone] I'm
interested in that. Why do you think Jim Bakker needs exposing?
[RJ] Because he's
insulting to me.
[RJ] He's on my
television, telling me the world is going to end and that my money
will be worthless, yet he's happy to take my money in return for all
the junk he sells. That insults me because it assumes that I'm too stupid
to see the hypocrisy of it. Add in the fact that this guy
already went to prison for fraud, and it's just too much. I had to
speak up, to speak the truth as I see it.
[Stone] You sound
pissed?
[RJ] [laughing] I'm
not pissed, I'm just frustrated. I'm a principled guy, and I know
right from wrong. What I see him doing on television is wrong. He's
scaring people unnecessarily. You don't do that. I don't care if his
people are suckers, or stupid, or whatever. It's not right. Make an
honest living, don't be a dickhead who has to stretch the truth and
make shit up about hearing from God in order to make money. I like to
think I'm above stooping that low simply to make a buck. Money dude,
that's what it's all about for him. At least from what I see from his
show.
[Stone] But in his
defense, doesn't he have to make money in order to sustain being on
television?
[RJ] He doesn't
have to be on tv.
[Stone] But he's a
televangelist?
[RJ] He doesn't
have to be a televangelist. He can just be a preacher at a church.
Nothing wrong with that. This would be like saying that, as a drug
dealer, I have to sell crack to continue being a drug dealer. The
solution to the problem, if I'm an honest man, is not to be a drug
dealer in the first place. And that's not to say that Jim can't
continue to be a televangelist. But if he is one, he needs to do
things correctly. Jimmy Swaggart is back on tv, and you know what
he's doing? He's preaching sermons, giving legitimate teaching, and
selling bibles and cds to keep himself on the air. He ain't selling
sleep bands and chintzy jewelry named after his wife.
[Stone] Now see,
you sound pissed again.
[RJ] [laughing]
Okay, maybe a little bit. But it's borne of frustration. I just want
to see people do the right thing, bring some good into the world for
a change. Not all this slinking in the shadows, preying on the
weak-minded.
Larry Bates is on the witness stand. The tense courtroom is packed with onlookers and media. Ron Johnson sits behind his lawyer's desk, a blue-plumed bird perched protectively on his shoulder. Twelve jurors listen intently as Bates is questioned.
[Defense Attorney] “Mr Bates, can you describe the word 'integrity' to me please?”[Larry Bates] “Sure. Integrity is being upstanding and moral.”[Defense Attorney] “How about honesty, Mr Bates? Does integrity include honesty?”[Larry Bates] “Yeah sure.”[Defense Attorney] “Sure? How about 'yes' or 'no'?”[Larry Bates] [slightly ruffled] “Yes, integrity includes being honest.”[DA] “And being honest means not lying, would you agree Mr Bates?”[Bates] “Yes, I would agree.”[DA] “Do you have integrity, Mr Bates?”[Bates] “Of course I do. What kind of question is that?”[DA] “Very well. I would like to play you several video clips, Mr Bates. In these clips, you are going to see Jim Bakker on camera. After each clip, I will ask you one question.”[Bates] [squirms in chair] “Okay.”
Jim Bakker weeping uncontrollably The courtroom watches as video is played of Jim Bakker, fake-crying while talking about Lori's House fundraising.
[DA] “Did you see that video clearly, Mr Bates?”[Bates] “Yes.”[DA] “And do you think Jim Bakker was really crying in that video, or was he faking it?”
Larry Bates appears very uncomfortable in the witness box. A long pause ensues as Larry Bates considers his answer.
[DA] “Cat got your tongue, Mr Bates?”[Bates] “I would say yes, he is really crying.”[DA] “Can you repeat your answer, Mr Bates, this time addressing the jury?”
Bates turns nervously towards the jury.
[Bates] “Yes, he is really crying.”[DA] “Thank you Mr Bates. Now please watch the monitor again as I play another clip for you.”
Tears stream down the face of a sobbing Jim Bakker A new clip is played of Jim Bakker, this time choking up while talking about road building. A juror laughs. Bates again shifts uncomfortably in the witness box.
[DA] “Do you think Jim Bakker was really crying in that clip, Mr Bates? Or was he faking it?”[Bates] “Where is this going? What are you getting at?”[DA] “Answer the question, Mr Bates.”[Bates] “I'm not answering your question.”[DA] “Why not, Mr Bates?”[Bates] [angry] “Because it's a stupid question.”[DA] [petitioning judge] “Your honor, can you please compel the witness to answer my question?”[Judge] “Answer the question, Mr Bates.”[Bates] [turning red] “Yes, he's really crying.”[DA] “Can you please repeat that to the jury so that they can hear you?”
[Bates] [turns abruptly to jury] “Yes, he's really crying.”
[DA] “Mr Bates, I have one final question, just for clarification purposes. Part of having integrity means not lying, right?”
[Bates] [face has turned bright red] “That's right.”[DA] “I'm done with this witness, your honor.”
[Stone] Okay so
let's move on. You left a comment on your blog a few months ago
suggesting that you had another project going on in the background.
Were you serious?
[RJ]Right, yeah a
few months ago I mentioned that I had something 'bigger' planned. I
had this idea that I was going to document myself covering Bakker,
sort of create a cheap indie documentary. I know that my personality
is a little different than most people, and I thought it might be
compelling to see me doing what I do when I sit down to cover Bakker,
because it's a lotta shit. But I ended up getting so bogged down in
writing and working my real job that it just never happened. I had a
whole idea thought out, I think it woulda' been really cool. I'll bet
I would have had some of Bakker's numbskulls watching it too. Those
people are fucking stupid man [laughs]. I'll bet Jim could physically
grab one of those people by the cheeks, look them in the eyes and
call them a dumbshit to their face, then turn around and sell them a
bible for a hundred bucks. They are that stupid.
[Stone] [laughing]
That stupid huh?
[RJ] [laughing] I
mean, Jim actually sold these people magic stickers that were
supposed to somehow give you more strength. [laughing] Do you
know how fucking retarded you have to be to buy something like that?
And now I've poked their cage. They're all starting to wander onto
the internet and attack me like rabid lemmings. I don't need that in
my life man, I got enough to take care of day-to-day in my life to
not need to be calling the cops all the time on lunatic stalkers.
[Stone][laughing]
You sound a touch serious in how you say that. Are you really
concerned about lunatic stalkers?
[RJ] Yeah dude,
Bakker's zombies are nuts.
[Stone] I'm going
to read off a list of words to you, and I want you to give me the
first word that comes to mind. Okay?
[RJ] [laughing]
Alright.
[Stone] Lori
Bakker.
[RJ] Airhead.
[laughs]
[Stone] Foodbucket.
[RJ] Disgusting.
[laughs]
[RJ] [laughs loudly]
Man I love Joey! He's my favorite character of the whole bunch!
[Stone] Why is
that?
[RJ] I don't know,
I think it's the Captain Stubing hairdo and the way he plays that
axe. He also gets this look on his face sometimes like he's too cool
for school, you know?
[Stone] So you
don't really think he's a serial killer?
[RJ] [laughing] Nah
man, no way. The only thing Joey's killing are guitar notes, and
maybe a few hearts of lovelorn ladies. Those are jokes, it's satire. It's
funny. In fact, and I mean this sincerely, I hope Guitarist Joey
laughs at what I write about him. He looks like a cool guy.
Enjoying yourself in Moldova, Flip? |
[RJ] I don't think I can come up with a single word that's strong enough to express my feelings about Philip Cameron.
[Stone] What do you
mean by that?
[RJ] I can't stand
Philip Cameron. I think I've mentioned before in a blog post that I
dislike Philip Cameron even more than I dislike Jim Bakker. Cameron
is just...I don't see anything even remotely redeeming about that
guy. At least Bakker is capable of being likable. Cameron doesn't even have that.
[Stone] Yes I've
read your posts about him. They're pretty brutal.
[RJ] Right. I don't
like him at all. I'd love to do a whole satirical blog on him in
particular, but apparently the fat fuck likes to hide in Moldova a
lot with his orphaned girls and boys so we don't see him that much. Ugh.
[Stone] Moving on.
Jim Bakker.
[RJ] [thinking]
Intelligent.
[Stone] Intelligent
huh?
[RJ] Yeah, Bakker
is a smart guy. Look at how successful he is at making a living, and
how he makes that living? That doesn't mean he's a good guy, or that
he should be lauded for it, but he certainly knows how to ring the
dinner bell for inbreds.
[Stone] How do you
think he does it?
[RJ] I don't know
man, but he does it. I've always felt that he's successful because he
has that 'aww-shucks' demeanor that everyone trusts. It's hard to
believe that a guy that looks like a kindly old frog would be lying
to you about receiving special prophecy from God, then use that as a
means to take your money. But he does it, at least in my opinion he
does. I don't know how anyone of sound mind could think otherwise
after watching his show a couple times. It's pretty blatant.
[Stone] Is there
redemption for Jim Bakker, in your eyes?
[RJ] You mean
personally, with me?
[Stone] Yes.
[RJ] Of course
there is. Everyone can redeem themselves in my view. I'm a fair guy,
in fact that's something I pride myself in. If someone told me that I
wasn't being fair it would be like an alarm going off in my head, and
my thoughts would come to a screeching halt. For Bakker, if he folded
up shop tomorrow and admitted that he's been wrong these past few
years, then I'd be done. In fact, I would applaud him for
it...publicly. People can change if they want to, and that change can
be startling. I know, because I changed. So if Jim Bakker changed his
tune, I would support him for that.
[Stone] So you
would actually lend your support to Jim Bakker if he changed
tomorrow?
[RJ] Sorry man, I
know I'm being a little unclear here. My thoughts come very quickly
so sometimes I figure them out while I'm speaking. Support isn't the
right word here so let me clarify. [thinking] If Jim Bakker stopped running Salesville tomorrow, I would give him praise for it because he
would deserve praise. I don't think I'd ever fully support him or
stake my reputation on him, that seems fairly impossible to me. There
are very, very few people who I mix my name with. [laughing]
[Stone] Like?
[RJ] The only
person I can think of right now is my wife [laughing]. I wouldn't
even put my reputation on the line for some of my family. Everyone
has to prove themselves to me before I stake my reputation, and let me
tell you...that takes a long time.
[Stone] I just have
one more on this to follow up. So you don't hold grudges?
[RJ] I wouldn't say
that I don't hold grudges. I think it's more accurate to say that any
grudges I hold are temporary in nature. I am always open to changing
my mind.
[Stone] So outside
of the Foodbucket Fanpage, have you considered other topics to write
about?
[RJ] Actually yeah,
there's a few different things I'm interested in doing.
[Stone] Would you
care to enlighten us or are you keeping them private?
[RJ] Well, what I
do with Bakker could translate very well to politicians or other
people who I consider to be shysters. I absolutely can't stomach
politicians. They're all liars looking out for their own
self-interests. I'd love to cover political debates or something like
that, or maybe just pick whichever politician is the sleaziest and
cover them, solely. The problem, unfortunately, is that the creative
process for me comes very slowly. I could cover a political debate
with satire, with nobody getting out unscathed, but I can't churn it
out in a timely fashion.
[Stone] People want
stuff quickly, you're saying?
[RJ] Right. Reading
about a debate from a month ago, something that's already happened, I
think people may just sort of move on and not care. But I could be
wrong on that. Maybe people would be interested, maybe the timeliness
of it isn't important when people are looking for laughs at the
expense of disgusting people. I wouldn't know until I try, I suppose.
[Stone] I'd read
it, sign me up!
[RJ] [laughs] Yeah,
well, it takes time that I don't have much of anymore. You know what
though? All these shitheads who can't stand me because I make fun of
Jim Bakker and expose him, I'll bet you they'd love me if I went
after a politician they didn't like. They'd be telling me I'm the
best and go get 'em, that sort of thing. I really believe that.
Superficial people man, they're really strange. Insult their God [Jim Bakker] and
their vicious. [laughing]
[Stone] Other
ideas?
[RJ] [laughing]
Actually, yeah there are a few other ideas floating around. I'm a big
mixed martial arts fan and I've thought about maybe covering the UFC
and other organizations in a comedic way. Not in the sense of putting
it down, because I love it. It would be more like, creating
characters out of the fighters and sort of covering different fights
while pointing out the humorous things I see while I'm watching. The ref's haircut. People in the crowd on their cell phones. Fighter gear malfunctions, stuff like that. That
one might be a long shot, but it's something.
[Stone] So what
about the...
[RJ] [interrupts]
You know what I really wanted to do but I had no time? I wanted to
cover the funeral of Kim Jong-Il. Did you see that thing?
[Stone] Yes I do,
we actually covered it on an article.
[RJ] Yeah well,
nobody would have covered it like me. That thing went on for hours
and hours, with the soldiers freezing their balls off on the side of
the road and everyone beating their chests in feigned sadness. I
actually served in Korea when I was in the Army, so those wacky North
Koreans always interest me. I only caught about an hour of the
funeral, but I'm telling you, I could have made that thing hilarious.
Oh man, that's really the one that got away.
[Stone] I'm sorry
you missed it.
[RJ] Oh believe me,
I'm sorry too.
[Stone] So what's
up with the Foodbucket Fanpage? I notice that you're speaking about
it in the past tense?
[RJ] For the past
few months, I've been thinking of ending it. That's why the time
between my posts started getting so stretched out. I think the
time has come now. I just don't have the time or desire anymore, and I
think I've said all that needs to be said. If my heart isn't into it,
then I'm going to start writing things that aren't my best work. I'm
not cool with that. It's either the best from me or nothing at all.
[Stone] So you're
admitting defeat?
[RJ] [laughs] Call
it what you want. I've poured a lot of time and energy into it, and
I'm happy with what I've done and accomplished. I've brought a lot of
enjoyment to people, brought a lot of critical attention to Jim
Bakker, and I think my readers will remember Ron Johnson and the fact
that I fought the good fight. I'm honestly sad to say goodbye to my
readers, but I have my own life to live. At some point, you have to
finish the chapter and start a new one. At the height of my writing,
I was spending entire weekends hacking away on my keyboard. I would
drive to work reviewing lines in my head, coming up with better ways
to write things. My wife would speak to me at home, but all I'd hear
was my inner monologue as I focused on my latest blog post. My wife
never once complained, but now I'm complaining. I'm tired of writing
about Bakker, I've been tired of it for a few months now.
I'm ready to do something different, and I've already started laying the groundwork for the next chapter of my life. We're new to Colorado, and it's beautiful here dude. Lots of natural stuff to see, shit that I like. I'm actually going to take a layoff from my job pretty soon and go back to school to study the earth sciences. And I suppose Jim Bakker is going to continue doing what he does. Oh well, I've done all I can. Either good will triumph here, or it won't.

[RJ] Yeah, I'm done.

Thank you to all my
readers.

http://www.mustardseedyear.com/tag/jason-wert/
Sasha is very sexy. Is she Zack's main squeeze. She is a big girl but still very very attractive.
Sasha I thought she was with Jim's grandson...now ZacK wow that girl gets around.
Why do those who prop Jim Bakker up call everyone who gets involved with Jim Bakker "sour grapes" just because they wake up and realize the truth about this fake ministry? I worked in PR for many year for a company who owned six 2 large corporations with 8 subdivisions that employed 30,000+ employees. We never had this kind of turn over. I stayed home to raise my children but still keep in touch with my friends, they are still with this company 40+ years later. Most people live out their careers and retire at this company. The company is privately held and they are not Christians, but they do know how to treat their employees right!
Some food for thought.....Is this a ministry? Is this ministry all about Jesus? Then why is the name of the show "The Jim Bakker Show"? Anyone else think the title of this show and ministry sounds vain and narcissistic? Nothing about "The Jim Bakker Ministry" has anything to do with Jesus, right from the start. It's name shows it's all about Jim!
Sasha might be Russian. She has beautiful russian eyes, like Natalie Wood had. Almost like a subdued Asian.
The show is not a ministry its a front to scare the elderly and gullable into buying Jimbos crap.
Zack wears an earring and has no interest in Sasha or any other woman if you get my drift.
He sure didnt last there long and I cant wait to hear all of the dirt from Jason "the worm" Wert!
Jason Wert owes a great big "Thank-you" to Ron and the rest of the contributors to this blog for even getting hired by Bakker in the first place. Bakker wanted a PAID BLOGGER to come on here and say nice things and make the cult appear legit and Bakker's own so called "students" were too illiterate to do so. Now Jason has finally seen the truth and it will be great to hear what he has to say.
I think when Ron retired from this blog, Bakker no longer needed Jason (who was always here with the Bakker PR bull) and discarded him like yesterdays socks. Jason served his purpose, the end justifies the means.
Sometimes I wonder if Sasha could ever be interested in a agnostic like me. She is wonderful.
If your female she may!
Ah, the Food Bucket folks. You guys are always good for a laugh.
I honestly didn't think you payed attention to me any longer but if you really want the scoop...I had the opportunity to work with a company to produce audiobooks for the blind. I was legally blind until I had surgery almost a decade ago and so helping the blind is something that is meaningful to me.
It's really nothing more sinister than that.
The decision to leave was mine and the folks at Morningside multiple times asked me to reconsider and stay with them.
As for the posts on my blog, none of them were written about anything at Morningside unless it specifically mentioned it. (A few posts on Lori's House as backdrop for speaking against abortion, etc.) The posts about churches that are pastor worship, etc. have nothing to do with Morningside.
There's no confidentially agreement in place so I could say whatever I want whenever I want. At the end of the day I had the chance to help provide audiobooks to the blind, I felt I could make an impact helping the blind in that way and I took it.
Sorry if that disappoints all of you.
Have a great week.
Jason you are a really sick person, as is anyone affiliated with Jim Bakker!
HA! So what am I to think of these guys who claim Jason said this and Jason said that! Folks, examine thyself! Are you really a better person and more holier then James Bakker? Or are you some kind of rumour mongerer who delights in posting unsubstantiated facts and inuendo. Lier, lier, pants on fire!
C'mon Jason, you must give us a little nugget of something you saw or heard there that really shocked or upset you. If you continue to say that Morningside is a utopia, then we know that you aren't be straight with us...
Jason, how did you and Zack get along? What's the story with Kevin? Is he happy at Morningside? How come they fawn all over Grandma Cha, what makes her so great? Thanks>
Jason sure didnt last there very long. When he started, he was an on air personality doing the show introductions, and then at the end he only did the voiceovers for the "commercials" peddling doom and gloom products, so obviously something happened that he doesnt want to talk about.
One thing I have noticed about the Bakker apologists who post here - they generally can't write a coherent sentence and they apparently don't know how to spell.
Including the Jason fellow: "Payed attention." Hoss, you didn't pay attention to the past tense of pay which is spelled paid.
Glad you are working to help blind people after working for people who promote intellectual, emotional and spiritual blindness.
Okay, now bring back the guy who parties with angels dressed as Pilgrims and who watches little birdies procreate at the speed of light.
Was that guy cool with you, Jason? C'mon, fess up.
Jason was removed as the show's announcer and replaced with the most untalented, not to mention God awlful voice, in all of broadcasting, Zach Drew, who sounds like a sixth grade child screaming over a microphone.
All of that radio experience and advertising himself as being available for "voice work" and he gets let go for Zach Drew. That's funny, I would submit my resignation too after being insulted like that. The Worm is hiding the truth exactly like his former boss does. Shame on you Jason Wert.
One good thing. Jason broke Zack of the habit of always pointing to himself when he said: "I'm Zack Drew!" Good job Jason!
To the worm^^^^. Jason could probably buy and sell you hotshot!!
Does anyone know if Jim sent generators, food buckets, silver sol, etc. to those poor suffering people on the east coast? Is he putting his money where his mouth is? Is he doing what Jesus said to do when you see a person in need? If Jim didn't help did any of those cult followers send help? Did any of those in the cult go there to help out? After all their leader tells them to buy this stuff to take care of themselves and to help their neighbor. I think I know the answers to my questions, Jim and his cult followers only look out for themselves, being the good christians that they are!
Thanks Jason for your post...It was interesting in not what he said, but what he didn't say...If he was replaced by fat-zack then I would leave also...
"He or I" ^^^^ Don't get what you mean.
Darth Wert speaks. Lol. That's too funny.
Of course Jimmy didnt help in the relief effort in the Northeast as that would cut into his profits! He is only interested in using the storm as an example to scare the elderly bobbleheads into buying his products!
The Rabbi was talking how the food packages and solar generator helped him and family survive the Hurricane. Maybethere is sme truth to those food rations.
The good Rabbi Jonathan "con man" Cahn is only there to promote Jims end on the world agenda and sell his books and dvd's, and therefore Brutus will say whatever Jim tells him to. I hardly believe a Rabbi would eat freeze dried food nor leave his family right after a terrible storm...
Real christians are exposing what a real con the rabbi is. There are teachers exposing all the errors in his book when compared with the truth from the bible. Once again gullible people are buying the lie hook, line, and sinker!
Hi Joe C.! How's it going? Do you think you'll be going up to Moningside for Thanksgiving?
Yes, I will be there with my best friend Jim and his family to celebrate Thanksgiving, and he has promised me to give me a private tour of the new sauna room.
The post on November 19th @ 1:16 p.m. was not from me. Grow up.
I'm waiting for Zack to introduce Joe C on a future programs. "With Jim's special guest, Joe C from Morningside, I'm Zack Drew...."
I had a great Thanksgiving with Jim and his family, and enjoyed Jim's private tour of the sauna room. Now, I'm really looking forward to Christmas with the Bakker's!
Once again, November 25th, 2:41... not from me. Use your own name, troll.
I wish you a very Merry Christmas Pastor Jim and Lori and all who make the Jim Bakker show great.
Will the real Joe C. please tell us about the meeting you had with Jim a while ago and also what is currently happening there!
I'm in the process of finishing a book, "He's My Brother', it sheds a lot of light about my relationship with the Morningside folks. Should hit the presses by Spring. Read it.
Joe C. are you serious? If so, you really need to spread the word and this is going to be a bestseller. Please give us a tease and tell us more about the book and what we can look forward to reading...
No, Springtime! Good reading!:)
Bakker freaks are bored again.
Don't let this guy fool you because once again Joe C. is just yanking our chain. He's a con man who sold us out in the past and he can never be trusted again! Enjoy the Florida sunshine and sand with Bakker's dirty money Brother Joseph...
I would throw that money in the guy's face, if he bribed me.
We all would have, but Joe C. doesn't have the morals that we do so he took the money and gave up the protest. He made a deal with the devil and the time will come when he and Jimmy will have questions to answer.
Speak up Joe C! Fact......or fiction?
Just for the record, if anyone believes that Flip Cameron is the "only game in town" relative to addressing the trafficking problem in Moldova (which he implies) just do a Google search on sex traficking in Moldova. You will find all sorts of faith based groups that are in there with full service facilities. He is not the only one who specializes in rescuing the orphans. I am not saying there isn't a need. There is a huge need but he is not the only one doing a serious job there. I just go nuts when ministers misinform people. I don't trust a liar, particularly one who lies in the name of the Lord.
Joe C. reminds me of a roach. When exposed by our followers he disappears, similar to a roach at night when you turn on a light! He makes all of these promises, but they turn out to be lies when he sells us out at the end...
What is this Joe C. thing all about? Did he fail to do something he promised and reneged? Why can't you folks let bygones be bygones? Is that Black kid on the Jim Bakker show a new panelist? Where did he come from?
In a nutshell, Joe C. used to be part of our group against Bakker. He arranged a meeting with Jimmy to talk about Loris house and promised to give us all of the details afterwards. Shortly after, he disappeared and we found out that Jimmy paid him off to stop the protest of Loris House. Now he says he's going to write a book exposing Bakker but wont give us any details, so we dont believe him.
Hey Joe C. come out, come out, wherever you are!
Thanks!
Bissy, Caleb is the young man you have seen the last few days and he is a new masters commission student.
Thanks. The guy who's the guest looks like Pat Buchannan.
Yes, that man is John Shorey who is a cousin of Kevin Shorey's. He also uses scare tactics saying the world is coming to an end and is in cahoots with Jimmy to sell survival products to the elderly and disabled.
I'll bet that show owes a lot of thanks to nonsense myths like the Mayan Calender 21 Dec connection. They sell a lot of junk, survival garbage to poor lonely old folks who live alone and fall for that bunk. Good for business.
What a surprise it was to see Jimbo's misfit son Jay Bakker getting interrogated on the show today. They talked about the early days, and as usual Jimbo blamed everyone but himself for going to prison. Jay looked depressed and miserable, and I like how Jimbo made him wear a long sleeve shirt to cover his tattooed arms. Jay definitely wasn't comfortable there and was constantly looking down at the desk as he answered questions. I'll bet he couldnt wait to leave the compound and get back to New York!
2 Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Does the Jim Bakker ministry measure up to anything written in this scripture?
It is obvious this man is full of fear which he is spreading to others. What he is preaching is rational, there is no sound mind. The behavior by those affiliated with this ministry is anything but love.
The Jim Bakker ministry doesn't fit anything the scriptures teach about a what a genuine ministry should be teaching and what christian behavior should be.
Buyer beware!
I think, to hear the kids talk, their early years were pretty good. It was always a "big" home, or a "big" house with "big rooms" and "big" bathrooms. The two did OK in as children with many many toys and things. They might miss that life style and know it is in the horizon with Morningside. What do you think Joe?
I'm really looking forward to seeing the Bakker's for Christmas and can't wait to spend time with Jim in the bath house!
JOE PLEASE SHOW SOME DIGNITY. NEVER MIND ABOUT BAKKER, NO ONE IS JEALOUS!
What has happened to this site? Remember that Fakker Bakker is the target. Who gives a rip about JoeC?
Fakker Bakker and all his bussom buddies and lackies and go-fers and house boys.
Merry Christmas Joe C. and I hope Jimbo gives you a BIG gift in the bath house!
First, Jim and his family broke bread with me and then he and I went to the bath house for desert!
Just happened to flip it on Christmas to see what he would say on this day...and what did I hear? Bakker saying how sorry he was about screwing all the people who bought that crap from him...I guess the people weren't getting all what they had ordered or weren't getting it at all...He blamed the workers in what every third world country that makes this junk as the problem...Man he was sweating as bad as that guy in the movie Airplane! It was truly a great Christmas to watch this huckster squirm and make up stories on why all the fools got scammed out of their money...
The conversation at our Christmas table turned to the Bakker freak show for awhile, we had some great laughs! A friend analyzed the Bakker zombies as a bunch of escapees from the Island of misfits. Another person did a great job of describing the Bakker family, from Tammy Sue looking like a fat Morticia from the Adams family, to Lori with all her fake parts, the grandson with a head two times a normal size, Jay the tatoo freak, and the King Weasel himself, Jim. The Bakker family and the crap he sells was fodder for great entertainment.
Where is everybody???
I like to think that The Bakker Haters have taken on a New Year's resolution, of trying to understand what Pastor Bakker is all about. It is not about monetary gain but about giving to your fellow man. Give till it hurts. If you watch the show with an open mind, without jumping to false and hasty conclusions it is there, the love and compassion is there.
Anonymous @ 4:19,
My pastor just did a message about false prophets using the word "haters" to attack discerning believers who are calling out the wolves in sheep clothing. Men of God are calling out the false teachers like Jim Bakker, they are trying to wise up the simpletons that are being seduced by them. My pastor did a good job of teaching on how evil men like Jim are actually working with the Anti-Christ system, they are the ones bringing the judgement of God we now see on our nation. He excoriated Rick Joyner, and Cindy Jacobs, among many other false prophets. Many of the false teachers and prophets he pointed out in his message have been on the Jim Bakker show. He played a quip of Rick Joyner saying he has an eagle come to him with prophetic words from God. Crazy, that's the only way to summarize all the foolishness coming from these false teachers!

Anon...We know what he is all about...Taking money from people that can ill-afford it. He is a huckster that is selling snake oil laced with blasphemy! He will get his due when his time comes. Do you realize that all the donations are used to support his family? and that they are living "the high life" thanks to suckers like you!
You fools are financing his 3 story condo, boat and cabin on the lake, fancy cars, and several vacations a year. He preys on the elderly and disabled and if you watch the audience they look like a bunch of bobbleheads agreeing with everything Jimbo says. I would love to see someone debate him, but we all know he will never do interviews or allow anyone who doesnt agree with him to come on the show.
Uncle Henry you are so right. I don't post anymore because I know its useless and after the Baker Regime threatened Ron Johnson and actually located his personal information I realized how desperate and dangerous the Bakker Fraud is. As I have said many times on my comments, the only think that will take Bakker down will be his death. I try watch it but can't. It is so obvious and there comes a time when you deal with swine as jim is and the zombies are, its best to end it.
I was very, very upset when I found out that they go after people who don't agree. I have contacted some of the ones that posted and they left also as they were uncomfortable with the intimidation. None of us just decided to take on Baker, the whole world did but their not worth my peace. They are very rich and evil and will take any measure to protect their domain.
Thanks Uncle Henry for commenting.
Jessica
Hi Jessica, glad to see you back here. We must be strong and stand together to fight against the abuses of Bakker. Please contact the people that used to post here again and urge them to come back and continue to fight with us!
I think you are finding people dropping off the site is because there is no indication of anyone with the contacts and nerve to bring this parasite on the body of Christ down. He never should have been permitted to fund raise. If that kept him off the air, that was a logical price to pay for his criminal behavior. The longer this has been allowed to continue, the bolder he gets in his fund raising techniques. The suckers will always be there in large numbers. He knows how to shake them down to their last penny then move on without batting an eye. It will continue until someone makes it major national story and keeps it in the national face. Best wishes from the painiac.
Sometimes I think these Bakker followers consider Jim some kind of "cat's ass".
Hmmmmm. The post I submitted at ten am today has disappeared. Strange. I am not about to explain while I have dropped out of sight.....again so farewell from the painiac.
Painiac we need you along with the kool aid kid, Buckets R Us, Rev Dortch, etc. to come back and continue the fight against Jimmy, but Joe C. please continue to stay away...
Poor misunderstood Joe C.! Joe you still have a lot of friends out there :) ;)
Poor misunderstood Joe C.! Joe you still have a lot of friends out there :) ;)
No, you dont Joe C! You're a phoney so just keep enjoying the dirty money you received from Jimbo in Florida!
To Jessica,
I am so sorry that you and others have felt intimidated by the Jim Bakker followers. These people are thugs, not Christians. Please, please, please all of you who follow this blog and are not believers, do not judge the real followers of Christ because of these evil people. Also, please, do not reject Christ because of them. Even Jesus rejects these people.
Yes, Jim is prospering right now because of his evil deeds. God says the wicked will proper in this world, but they are doomed to destruction. There is much the Word of God has to say about evil doers. Judas Iscariot turned Jesus over to be crucified. Jesus knew he was stealing from the money bag. He knew of all his evil deeds, and yet He never attacked Judas. God judges and sends evil men to eternal death, as He did Judas. Unfortunately, God in His infinite patience, seems to let evil men get away with more than we think He should.
Jesus said that you will know they are my disciples by the love they have one for another. He also said you will know them by their fruits. The fruits of the spirit that God says you will find in Christians are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, and self-control. If a person is not exhibiting these behaviors they are not Christ followers, they are in fact sons of satan.
If you do not have a bible, I implore you to google Psalm 37 and read what God says is going to happen to Jim Bakker and those who engage in his folly.
Paul a disciple of Christ warned us in 2 Timothy about people like Jim and his followers.....Evil men will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
There are many who become Christians in prison as a result of prison ministries. Jim says he read through the bible, and did come to know Christ in prison, but actions speak louder than words. Jim got out of prison, and as unrepentant cons do, he has gone back to what is natural for him. There is a scripture for that behavior also......Proverbs 26:11 As a dog returns to his vomit, so a fool repeats his folly.
I believe that Jim and his followers are devoid of any conscience towards God. They are unregenerate people who there is no hope for. God rejects them and so should you. But once again I implore, do not judge Christ and his true followers because of these evil people. Seek out the good. It is best that many have left this blog, and have turned off the Jim Bakker show. The only way to know a counterfeit is to study the real...so to those of you who don't know Christ seek him out. There are authentic Christian pastors. There are followers of Christ who are loving, kind, and generous. You will never see Christ in action if all you focus your attention on is Jim and his kind of ilk.
Why does Jim Bakker say everything bad (natural disasters, crime, etc> that happen in our society is a sign from God, his displeasure? What have poor folks in some third world country done that is so evil to deserve a lightening bolt from above. How come god does not just single out the evil folks and take it out on them. Jim Bakker scares me.
Jimmie...Bakker is just pandering to those that are scared and he keeps reinforcing it...How else can he sell all that crap that is made in third world countries? He is not a man of God...He is more like the anti-Christ he is always talking about...Ever notice how he thinly veils comparing our government to the anti-Christ? He was caught and served time for scamming people...(and will probably be in jail again). Yes he says that bad things are "God's Will" and that is a bold-faced lie. God does not do bad things...That is what the devil does...If you believe in God then you must believe in the devil...He just wants to sucker people to donate to continue his life style and keep all the others fat and happy!
Thank you Sir! :)
Just wanted to let everyone know that when the power went out at the Super Bowl, it was a Fuel-less Generator that allowed the game to be finished. Kevin, Zach, and I took turns turning the hand-crank, in order to "let the light shine" during this crisis. We'll be taking it easy today in the Morningside Bathhouse, after that exhausting physical labor.
God Bless You Jimmy for allowing us to see the end of the game. You, Kevin, and Zach be sure to enjoy yourselves in the bathhouse today!
Did Joe C. help during the down time? Or was he just fetching and passing tools for Zack and Tammy who did the real work?
Joe C. was only there for the Christmas and New Years festivities. Then he and Jimbo spent some quality time bonding in the bath house later on!
Got to hand it to Zack though. For a guy who never paid his dues, through hard work, or digging in trenches he came out OK. Always clean, with nice manicured fingers and no calouses on his pudgy hands. He obviously has no talent and is not what you'd call charismatic, just being in the right place at the right time pays dividents sometimes.
Sounds like you have a thing about hands and a huge crush on Zach! You should contact the show and let him know how you feel!
Everyone has a skill.
Fake pastor bakker can squeeze a prune and make gold come out. True.

Fake pastor bakker can squeeze a prune and make gold come out. True.
________________________________________________________Your are right...He IS squeezing all those prunes you see on TV and not turning into gold, but ripping them off of their gold!
Jimbo is squeezing all of the elderly old prunes and taking their gold, silver, checks, and currency!
The older folk have no qualms about giving what they can and thensome to Bakker. He has a goodness about him and they know they will get their reward in heaven.
To: Bakker is the means
They are not giving it to God...They are donating to all those fat kids that he has working for nothing! They are also paying for Lori's botox and the free condo for Tammy...
LOL @ 11:50, They will get their rewarded in heaven! Now I've heard it all.
When the elderly and disabled folks donate to Jimbo's ministry, they are funding their 3 story condo, cabin and boat on the lake, luxury car, numerous vacations, designer furnishings and clothing, plastic surgeries, along with Tammys condo, James's apartment, and Marie's boarding school etc!
Bakker is a disappointment. He's cheap.
I can't wait to get back to Heritage USA in a couple weeks. So many wonderful memories there.
I hope to show Zach my old office, along with the massage room. We told Sasha to bring her bikini for the water-park. hehe
That' right' Profit...maybe he can show them the air-conditioned dog house they had...you know built with the money his followers gave him (You know to spread the word...LOL)
You're a sly fox, Jim! I just have to say it, I like your style. You're show should be required viewing for some used car salesman courses and selling in general/ Keep up the good work.
Whew! What a day of Revelation. With meteors exploding all over the place we kept busy at Morningside today.
Due to all of this, we are creating a special Science Department for the Master's students. It will only tack on another 2 years to their studies.
We all worked up a big appetite, so we are headed to Mr. Gilberti's tonight. If you thought that explosion in Russia was big, just wait until Kevin and Zach chow down on some deep-dish pizza.
Did you know that Super Silver Liquid can be used to unclog a toilet.
The real explosions will occur in the Bath House toilets after those two rascals have digested the Pizza,Lasagna,Pasta Alfredo and cannoli. Break out the gas masks!!
Found pictures of Heritage USA as it looks today @ tommyandjames.net.
There isn't enough ways to say stupid! How can people let themselves be duped to this degree over and over again!
They buy the audience members with free slices of Dino cake. some of those large sized folks look like they'd sell their souls for a free meal or an ample slice of Dino cake. Tsk! Tsk!
I wish those with current, legitimate info on jimbo would submit it to the proper authorities or an honest media person who would know how to use it. It's out there. All of this making fun of him is getting tiresome. I have been as guilty as the rest but now accept that it will not bring him down and protect his victims. I saw a piece on the news that it is suspected that he is suffering from dementia. While functional on the set, he is quite confused the rest of the time. That could explain why the bio children are back in the picture. I am not current on what is happening on air. My computer died and I am now down to a tablet which doesn't pick up the show. That really doesn't matter as it is the same pathetic scams. I am recovering from my ninety open spinal surgery and would appreciate any and all prayer. Lots of pain and no idea when it will subside. Best wishes from the Painiac.
Oooops. That was the nineth spinal surgery. That's bad enough.
Good Luck paniac! I will say one for you. Guys like you are the true inspirations.
Sorry about the site to see old Heritage pictures. Try www.tommyandjames.net/heritageusa.html
If Pastor Bakker was brought before Pontius Pilate by the haters, Pilate would say "I find no fault with this person, he is righteous". Give the Pastor a break, he's earned it. He's payed for whatever so-called mistakes he's made, if indeed they are true.
I'm so sorry you are so misguided "I will follow him." It doesn't matter what Pontius Pilate says, it matters what Jesus Christ will say! I would not want to stand before God and give an account for following a false prophet and believing in a false gospel. The only thing that matters is your righteousness in Christ alone! It's a good thing to hate the teaching of a false gospel that leads many astray.
Some faithful zombie said it best when posting "if the charges are true". So, even though the law (which is unbiased since Lady Justice is blind) had enough evidence to convict this little creep and was proven guilty...the pea brains that serve Jim Bakker can say "if it was true" without a wink. Amazing!! I just turned into Jimmy Swaggart (who blew the whistle on Bakker) and he is begging for money and its in the millions and yet the creepy little weasels that call themselves Christians just throw money at him. But he can sing and he has a beautiful church and family (not homely like the Bakker clan)and he has talent and he can cry on cue. Bakker can't even preach or fake a tear but obviously he doesn't need to since his audience doesn't care. As I have said many times, Bakker will only be done when he dies and then the Lori show will take over and as long as there are weasels who toss her money the show will go on.
The only reason I tuned into the Swaggert was I am comparing the two shows for an essay I am preparing on "Frauds and Con-men who Exist for the Pleasure of Ignorance".
Also, I quickly turned Bakker on one morning and I think I saw a big, spotted dog on the show next to the enormous daughter. Maybe, my eyes deceived me but it could have been Zak too. Not sure.
Jessica
This is from The Enquirer (so you may wan't to take it with a grain of salt)
"JIM BAKKER’s health is failing – and friends fear the man who was once the most powerful TV evangelist in America is suffering from the onset of Alzheimer’s disease.
Insiders say the 73-year-old former Assemblies of God minister has dropped 40 pounds, spends much of his time staring into space, and keeps asking for his now-deceased ex-wife, Tammy Faye"
Will have to watch more closely from now on.
Maybe it is about time Zack takes the helm. That's what all his grooming is about, eventual top leadership and CEO position. Or maybe Jim's son, why not? the money is god, I mean good.
I made a point to watch the show today and did notice that the others are doing a lot more of the talking...He just did a little of the pushing of the crap he sells...Lori talked more today that I have seen before...Gee couldn't have happened to a more deserving guy...
Jim and his flock.........are good people.
......good for nothing people, that is.
Good for finding ways to sucker the money out of folks.....That is a skill that only comes with a lot of practice.
Good at scaring people. Good at taking vacations with other people's money. Good at evading paying taxes. Good at using the taxpayer funded social programs such as welfare, medicaid, medicare, food stamps.....
Good at beating the system. Good at making friends with the folks that can only help him. Good at talking the talk, but not necessarily walking the walk. Keep up the "good" work Jim Baby.
Good at playing the victim and martyr, when in reality he victimizes and martyrs anyone who gets his way. Money and the luxuries it buys for him and his family is all that counts. He easily trashes anyone who is of no use to him. He is good at being void of a conscience....
good at deception.
Last but not least: Good at doing things a "bona fide" good Christian would not do. Jim amend your ways, it is later then you think!!!
Is the new singing duo on the show, the former "voices of glory" that Jim helped discover? Or a new talent he found?
No, the voices of glory left after a very short time there. Harmony is in the choir and Caleb is new blood that just arrived. I'm sure they will split too as soon as they also realize they are being used by Jimmy.
Jim did not discover Voices of Glory. The were discovered on a show called Star Search. They are true Christians that are being blessed by other venues.
Unless Jim and his attorneys convince them to sign contracts. They look kinda innocent. Voices of Glory at least were not naieve.
The only thing Jim discovers is elaborate and devious ways to scam gullible fools out their money.
But what is wrong with these people? Don't they learn from the past? The only way we can get an accurate reading on the future, is to study the past. People don't really change. What changes is their methods of operation. Jim is the same man as he was before. I just don't get it with people being burnt once and going back for seconds like his flock?
It's pretty simple, a sucker is born every minute and a fool and his money soon part ways. Jimbo uses scare tactics to take advantage of the elderly and disabled and robs them blind!
WOW...happen to watch the show yesterday and he is really fumbling around to remember things...He was in the middle of some rant and just said" I'm really hungry and started to eat...They all looked shell-shocked and had to start talking themselves...It's fun watching this guy lose it...KARMA BABY!
It only appears that way for the moment. With Jim, there is always a "method in his madness". don't be surprised in a couple of weeks he introduces a new 'product" that increases mental alertness. He will market it under the phrase "it worked for me, why not you". the proof of the pudding. they don't call him "slick" for nothing I'll bet.
I'm watching Jim Bakker's show today, 3/12/13, on Total Living Network. It is an episode from the past, as Bakker is clean-shaven with colored hair. No Jesus statue, and it celebrates Mark Graham's 50th birthday.
The amazing part is the entire episode is just a handheld shot, swinging around wildly looking at the audience. The audio is fine though. I can't imagine the channel would use this show if they didn't have the current episode to air.
Did a Master's Media student send the wrong episode up on satellite?
It should be noted the revelation back then was jewelry in the shape of keys and people losing weight. I guess the end of the world wasn't that big of a deal back then.
Watched a documentary on the Mormons. One of the Mormons being interviewed boasted that the Mormons were the first preppers. The Mormons believe you should have a years worth of food stocked up. The documentary also covered the wealth of the Mormon Church and it's members such as Mitt Romney the presidential candidate. An astute Foodbucket Fan Page blogger shared that Foodbucket man Frank Davis is a Mormom. Imagine that, Jim Bakker a supposed Christian in business with a Mormon. A true Christian knows that Mormonism is a cult. As always with Jim Bakker it's about personal wealth, his so called ministry has nothing to do with Jesus, unless he can sell Jesus for a profit.
SashaStalker is spot on, if you look through the archives of the Jim Bakker show he is always pushing some junk that will eventually end up in the junk heap. Nothing about Jim Bakker has eternal value.
To confused anon^^ I watch for the message, that has eternal value if nothing else does. It is nothing but good. Remember a "house divided"
To confused Leon,
There is no house divided when a cult and false prophet are brought to account. What does light have to do with darkness....Jim Bakker is in darkness and there is nothing but confusion in his so called ministry. God is not the author of confusion. None of Jim's junk is going to buy a person another day on this earth that the Lord has not appointed. None of the junk certainly has any eternal value. So sad that so many are so deceived and take such a important matter as the Gospel of Jesus Christ so lightly. So once again Leon there is no house divided, God would not allow the wickedness of this huckster in his house!
Leon...Leon...Leon...Just keep giving the huckster your money and see what "value" you get from it in your next life.
I miss JoeC. He could really fling the BS.
Joe C. is enjoying his retirement years in Florida thanks to Jimmy's payola. But he still makes it back to Morningside on holidays and he and Jimmy always make a visit to the bath house.
Sometimes in life BS reaps dividents. Got to do what you have to do.
Has anyone been watching this clown Rabbi Jonathon "con man" Cahn? He reminds me of Brutus on the old Popeye cartoons!!!
Yes that phoney Rabbi is nothing but a con man who is associating with Jim to peddle his book.
Did JoeC ever win the election for mayor?
He moved to Florida with the dirty money from Jim and is enjoying life as a beach bum, but he visits Morningside on holidays and has a little one on one time with Jimmy.
Thanks. I remember he was running for mayor of Mornigside at one time. Supposedly to run the scoundrels, carpet baggers, and rascals out of town. Just wondering
He and Jimmy were the biggest scoundrels in Blue Eye until he left. He took Jimmys payola and headed south and is now living the high life on the beach!
Wow! Live and learn. I guess everyone has a price.
Funny you know so much about me, Uncle Henry. I am still living in Blue eye, thank you very much
Just happened to check the ol' huckster today. Now he is wearing the Mr. Gilbirti(sp?) T-Shirt. Wonder how much that cost him per show...WOW yet finding another way to take money!
I can't watch an entire show....just too painful. Did see a snippet the other day about Jim's "new & improved" food - same old slop served up in better dishes. He is saying the new stuff is better! Wonder how that makes the buyers of the original slop feel. Stuck with buckets and buckets of the "old stuff". Even the largest home would be challenged to store all those buckets and boxes. And the shipping costs certainly aren't cheap. Imagine a UPS truck delivering 100+ boxes of slop to a single-wide.
Atta boy JoeC!
The above is an imposter and I'm enjoying my golden years here in Florida on Jimmys dime! I'll be back on Memorial Day and look forward to a little bonding in the bath house!
Today was the best ever! Some guy names John Paul Jackson was talking about Jezebels.
He told a story about a women that was seduced by a pastor. The pastor ended up losing his church and its' members!! Was he reading Bakker's autobiography? I bet the ol' Huckster was really squirming in his seat with that story!!!
HAHA, Hope Jimmie Boy took some notes about Jezebels. That "ministry" is full of them. lol
Atta boy Joe C!!! You only live once....go for all the gusto you can!!! This Buds for you!!:)
Thanks Edgar, but I don't drink Bud. I've received enough money from Jim that I can afford the good stuff!
Is anyone still watching the Jim Bakker Show? Does anyone know what they are doing for their neighbors in Ok? Are they putting their money where their mouths are? Are they sending in the Generation Now team to help clean up and support the victims, after all the is true ministry.
I still keep tabs on him...he is still selling his crap...Now he is selling the "Jesus Diet" book! Ya right...it would be the Christian thing to do to help people in distress, but he just uses it to scare people to buy more of his crap!
I don't watch the show anymore. It is like watching the old "Three Stooges" over and over. You know the routine and the shtick and it just loses the comedy effect. I watched Jim Bakker the other day and did not laugh once. I'll bet JoeC never misses a show though.
You are correct, former watcher. I have over 300 shows taped. I am watching one as I type.
Just watched the "train wreck" yesterday and noticed that they do not call it a "love gift" any longer....It is now called a "donation". Big zack caught himself a couple of times saying love...then changed it to donation...Wonder why...has to be some legal crap they are trying to get around...
Buckets R Us,
Thanks for closely watching the show.
We changed away from "love gift," not wanting to associate the wonderful items we offer with the description of some 5-year-old's birthday.
Instead, "donation" makes one think of being handed a plastic cup and a pornographic magazine.
By the way, Sasha is the centerfold in the next edition of MornINSIDE Magazine.
Sasha is a little "fox". Cute as a button. Old Zack is doing OK for himself. "Go get em, Tiger!!"

Great post...have to check out The MornINSIDE Mag...Too funny!
Heard a good teaching on the false teachers and how they have been increasing in numbers. Jim Bakker boasts of being the father of Christian tv. Jim Bakkers's type of Christian tv has been very destructive to the Christian church. Peter warned us of men like Jim Bakker in 2 Peter 3:17-22,
They are springs without water and mists driven by a storm, FOR WHOM THE BLACK DARKNESS HAS BEEN RESERVED. They speak arrogant words of vanity, they entice by fleshly desires, by sensuality, those who barely escape from the ones who live in error, promising them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by what a man is overcome, but this he is enslaved.
This scriptures goes on to condemn men like Jim Bakker for having the opportunity to know the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, escape their former defilement and corruption but chooses to go back to their wicked ways....Peter concludes with the proverb, "They are like a dog return to their own vomit," And, "A sow, after washing, returns to wallowing in the mire."
Where is everybody?
Hi Grandma,
Did you watch the Kevin Shorey Birthday show? One disgusting add after another, Kevin Shorey's Christmas cd, his years at Morningside music cd, etc. Then for birthday gifts surprise, surprise Jim gives him some of his dried dog food, and a picture that you can get from the General Store at Morningside. Don't worry if you can get to Morningside you can order one of the pictures that Kevin got from Jim for his birthday. Everything is a promotion, if I was Kevin I would be insulted. Geez, you just want to scream wake up already and quit letting yourself be used!
Yes, he takes every opportunity he can to peddle his products and calls it a "birthday special". It's just one big infomercial.
Here is a great web site about the 'ol hukster:

I can't wait until Christmas when I get to spend some alone time in the shower house with Jimmy!
Finally, Larry Bates Has Been Stopped In His Tracks
Oct 21st, 2013 | By Anne Trimble | Category: Top Stories
The precious-metals empire that Larry Bates built on a foundation of deceit and larceny finally appears to be crumbling. Today a federal judge in Memphis placed Bates, his FAMC precious-metals operation and all of Bates’ personal assets in receivership. And on October 29, the judge has ordered Bates and his receiver, John Ryder, back into court to check on their progress.
Bates told the court that his business has crumbled and he’s unable to pay creditors. He pleaded for the judge to unfreeze his personal assets.
These developments leave unresolved – but only for the moment — the $80-million class-action suit that was brought against Bates and FAMC by his clients two years ago, including many who told us at UnreportedWorldNews the stories of how they had been defrauded by him.
Over the course of several years, Bates and FAMC systematically bilked these clients of a total of several million dollars in precious metals by withholding and diminishing shipments of gold and silver coins and other instruments that they had ordered and then making excuses and creating obfuscations when they requested fulfillment of their orders.
Today’s action was a blessing from God for the many victims Bates created in his precious-metals business and for UnreportedWorldNews. Bates repeatedly has slandered us over the last few years and again today, in court in Memphis, blamed principal Anne Trimble and other parties for the demise of his operation.
Bates and his company recently had signaled the extent of their challenges in the face of the plaintiffs’ righteous outrage over their business practices. They told the court a few weeks ago that they no longer had legal counsel in the class-action suit brought by Damian Orlowski and other victims. The court gave FAMC a month to come up with new counsel, but it didn’t.
Separately, in a letter dated September 26, Chuck Bates, the son of Larry Bates, told the court that the company was mostly out of business and that Larry Bates was ill.
And of course while we pray for Larry Bates’ health, make no mistake about this: The apparent faltering of his legal defense means that justice now stands a very good chance of prevailing in the class-action case. Bates was well enough to be in court on Monday.
These developments appear to be bringing about the well-deserved demise of what once was one of the 10 biggest precious-metals dealers in America.
Check this space tomorrow and repeatedly in coming days for more reports on developments in this case.
In the meantime, we know that many clients of UnreportedWorldNews.com, most of the clients of FAMC, and many Christians in the precious-metals investment community and elsewhere recognize that it’s God who already has rendered a verdict on Bates’ enterprise.
Anne can be contacted at prophecyanne@yahoo.com.
Happy Birthday to me !!!
Sasha did a wonderful Marilyn Monroe impersonation for my special day. Please don't tell Mama Lori. hehe
Zach chased me through the bathhouse trying to give me a birthday spanking.
Than you Anne for sharing the information about Larry Bates. I believe this con was the politician the rabid defenders of Bakker boasted about on this blog. They were extoling all the people who supported Bakker, even a politician they claimed. When Bakker finishes his show with "God loves you, and so do I." You got to ask what god is he talking about? If Jim is not a con then why are there so many unethical people affiliated with him? If Jim is a prophet that hears from God, doesn't God warn him to not get involved with these cons? Jim loves you dumb sheep so much he'll keep leading you to fincial slaughter, and you'll willingly follow!
First American Monetary Consultants (FAMC) Accused of Preying on Faithful

For Immediate Release – August 7, 2012- BBB is alerting retirees and other investors about the business practices of First American Monetary Consultants (FAMC), a Colorado business run by Larry Bates.
Bates, a former Tennessee State Legislator, is CEO of FAMC and the Information Radio Network/IRN USA Radio News. He has also published various books and newsletters. He also conducts conferences and appears on religious radio programs. Bates and his associates use these forums to promote the purchase of gold, silver and precious metals as protection against upcoming economic disaster.
Consumers who trusted Bates investment advice that he espouses to be based on “Biblical principles” have complained to Better Business Bureau that their purchases of tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of gold and silver coins and other precious metals were not delivered. Some reported that, after considerable delay, they only received a small portion of their purchase or received products they did not order.
A Northeast Ohio senior called BBB to report she had invested her retirement savings – a sum totaling more than $160,000 – based on FAMC’s advice to “storm proof” her assets. She purchased gold coins in May, 2011. She was introduced to Bates through his books and his appearances on Christian radio and television programs. To date, she has only received two dozen 20 francs worth about $400 each – a tiny fraction of her investment. FAMC has not responded to her complaint.
FAMC has dozens of similar complaints in its “F”-rated file at BBB and has left recent complaints unanswered.
In January of this year, a class action lawsuit was filed in Tennessee against FAMC and Bates individually along with Bates dba Radio Information Network, INC/IRN USA Radio News; Information Radio Network/IRN USA Radio News; Information Radio Network Inc.
The lawsuit alleges that FAMC “…specifically targets devout, Christian believers, elderly individuals, and widow/widowers with significant life savings, all who are seeking advice and help from a trusted Christian advisor and/or a Christian financial company.”
The lawsuit seeks $80 million in damages and injunctive relief on claims of breach of contract, unjust enrichment, fraud, tortious misrepresentation, wrongful trover (taking of personal property) and conversion, breach of trust and fiduciary duty, tortious conspiracy, and mail and wire fraud.
•BBB advises consumers to do their research before investing in coins or precious metals. Talk to professionals about the value of various coins and metals and their potential as long term investments.
•Carefully research the dealer. Check BBB (cleveland.bbb.org) and research the company and its principals online.
•Do not base your investment decisions on emotions or select an investment advisor based on any criteria other than their expertise and experience in the type of investment you are considering.
•Investment scams have been known to spread rapidly by word of mouth in church groups and community organizations. Just because someone shares your religion doesn’t mean they are a trustworthy investment advisor.
If Ohioans have questions about gold-related investments, they can also call the Ohio Division of Securities Investor Protection Hotline at 1-877-683-7841 to ask:
•Is the brokerage firm and salesperson licensed to sell securities in Ohio?
•Have any enforcement actions been taken against them?
•Has the security been properly registered with the Division of Securities?
Heard a doctor talking about adrenal burnout. Symptoms of adrenaL burnout are depression, fatigue, obesity. The doctor said that he has friends on Madison Avenue working in advertising. The mantra of Madison Avenue use to be "sex sells." Their mantra now is "fear sells." You got to hand it to Jim, he sure knows what sells, anything for a profit. The doctors prescription to heal, turn off the news and stay away from depressing, fearful people. If you want a positive life you need to associate with positive people.
Does Lori Bakker or Grandma Char wear a wig?
Happen to tune in today, to keep tabs, and noticed how FAT all those young ones have become! They must not eat all the crap he sells that is supposed to be healthy and organic...There must be a McDonalds close by because they all are "super-sized"

Don't know, but they need face masks!
I agree with you about Grandma Char as she looks like skeletor, but Lori is very cute!

Christian Financial Gold Guy Accused Of $80 Million Fraud
Dr. Larry Bates, author of The New Economic Disorder, and popular guest and host on Christian radio is facing very serious allegations and an $80 million dollar lawsuit for fraud. I have never met Bates, which is rather remarkable since we have been in the same circles for about 15 years. In fact, Dr. Bates purchased the USA Radio Network in recent years where I hosted a national talk show and served as their Vice President during the 1990′s.
From what I understand, the allegations are all connected to Bates selling gold and then not delivering it to customers. One article I read included a victim account claiming that they had bought gold more than three years ago from Bates’ organization and still had not received it.
More bad news for Bates came recently when he was evicted out of his Fort Collins Colorado headquarters. The story gets more bizarre in so many ways I don’t know where to start. Take for example this story on a local TV station in Colorado that is not able to get copies of the fraud complaints on the Bates’ case. Some suggest that Bates’ status as a former Tennessee State Representative has garnered special treatment for him. We don’t have all of the details here, but there is more than enough smoke to warrant jumping to some conclusions. The BBB has lowered the rating on Bates’ organization to F. We also found nothing on the IRN/USA Radio Network site about Bates. He may have sold his interest in the network, or they may have simply purged his name from the site to avoid bad PR.
This is not a new case, although we only became recently familiar with Dr. Bates’ fall from grace. It appears that problems have been brewing here for at least two years with investors. There have been no criminal charges filed, but that may be still to come if regulators determine that Bates was defrauding investors and operating what was tantamount to a Ponzi scheme.

Good ol' Larry, I knew I could count on him to deliver!
The key to what is about to happen to Larry Bates lies in the final paragraph of the James L. Paris article above.
If indeed it is proven in the current civil trial that he “was defrauding investors and operating what was tantamount to a Ponzi scheme” then The United States Department of Justice, using the exact same evidence brought out during his civil trial, may then proceed to file criminal charges against Bates for, among other things, mail and wire fraud which are the exact same charges that landed Bakker, himself, in federal prison for five years.
Then, upon the release of Bates from prison years from now (assuming Bakker is still alive and still on the air) Bakker will be free to re-invite Larry Bates to his television show and both men can sit on the couch and swap prison stories together—all the while blaming someone else for their own criminal actions.
Good to see you back Ron! We hope that you start blogging about Bakker again because we sure miss it!

Great to here from you Ron...Yep you had hem pegged years ago!
Good. It is about time for Bates and the rest of the old crowd to get out of the way and make room for the master students. Masterbaters..
So I was monitoring the hour beg fest...I was looking at Lori and noticed she looked really "tanned"...then the huckster mentioned she has Hep C...probably from her shooting up drug years...Also noticed that the once cute sasha is now as big or bigger that tammy sue...man they must really love that freeze dried food!!
I cannot tell you how grateful I am for this blog. You have saved my grandmother from making a huge financial mistake . Huge is probably an understatement.
Long story short, when my grandfather passed away his estate was left yo my grandmother and once she passed the estate worth nearly thirty million dollars was to be equally, divided among the children and grandchildren with ten per cent to go to furthering "God,'s work" as my Grandpa was a devout Christian and gave God the credit for the success of his drilling business.
The 2.7 million dollars was going to be divided among several churches my grandparents gad supported as well as endowments to a Christian university.
Then my previous Grandmother had a stroke and was left pretty much bed bound for months. At that time she began watching The Jim Bakker show as she had during the 1980's when she found him ridiculous.
But suddenly she wanted my Dad and stepmother to call her lawyer and amend her will to leave the entire 10 percent to Jim and the "work" he was doing.
Her lawyer had no choice. Grand mom is still of sound mind and she wasn't changing it. We argued that her bequests as they stood would do the most good but she wasn't t having it. If there is such a thing as. Bakker spell then she was under it.
Fortunately (miraculously) I found this blog and stayed up most of a night reading it. And I then knew I had the proof I needed.
My Dad and stepmom and brother sat down with Grandmom and showed her that people who knew Jim Bakker we're speaking truth of what they had witnessed.
The good works were a facade. The Bakkers were still believers and recipients of the prosperity gospel.
A donation to Morningside Inc wouldn't clothe the bald or feed the hungry but okay for the Bakkers' large lifestyle.
It wasn't working on my grandmother, her mind was made up. Then my brother began reading the comments written by Bakker supporters. That did it.
"Those are the type of people who live there? Those are the kids that are supposed to be those Master students?"
Yes Grandmom. In all their glory. The people you were about to gift with nearly three million dollars.
Grandmom's will is safely set to provide the ten perce t to legitimate ministries and best of all Grandmom s better and has no interest in wTching Jim Bakker.
Thank you Ron, thank you commenters , and thank you Bakker supporters for opening my Grandmother's rays.
Sorry for the typos and odd words. Self correcting iPad.
Gigi,
I am so thankful you shared your story and hearing about how your grandma was protected from Jim Bakker's lies. Grateful your family was spared the grief of knowing that your inheritance didn't go to support Jim Bakker's lavish lifestyle.
I'm a Christian who witnessed first hand that Bakker has not changed. I lived at his Morningside for a short time. Everything about Bakker and associates is ugly and ungodly. Their behavior has been represented well on this blog. I witnessed this behavior up close and personal.
The gull of a person claiming to be a Christian who tells another to go to hell. The vulgarity, coarse language, and unchristlike behavior is overlooked in this "ministry". Anything goes as long as you're a yes man to Lori and Jim Bakker. They both have big egos that need constant stroking. Bakker ministries is not about humble service to the Lord. Everything they do is a production for the show. No giving is done in secret as the word of God instructs us to do. Everything is self promotion, or should I say Jim Bakker promotion. If, and when, a person spoke out about the lies and ungodliness they were run out of that place. Pride trumps Godly behavior. While living there I knew the truth of horrible things going on behind the scenes. I grieved when watching Jim, Lori, and the rest of his folks directly lie on tv. Deception is the best way to describe everything going on at this "ministry". I'm still recovering from the abusive environment of Morningside.
I have shared on occasion on this blog wondering if it was the right thing to do. Your message just confirmed it was. Once again, praise God that your grandma and family were spared the agony of knowing the money earned from your Grandpa's hard work didn't go to supporting such an anti-Christ ministry. Unfortunately, there are many others not so blessed. Praying the truth continues to get out no matter what avenue God uses to get it to the true body of believers.
Continued blessings to you and your family.
That is so great that your family's money was not squandered. It would have been spent on botox, vacations, and a lot of food for that bunch!
I've just read all the blogs in their entirety and have such an immense sense of letdown,,something akin to a "just opened the last Christmas present" feeling.
I had to keep a box of tissues handy because of the crying,,,from laughing..
Sir,,if there were Emmys for blogs,,you would be first in line to receive one..
Maybe I'll hitch a ride and go watch a "Jim Bakker Show " live taping for really real..
(wondering if Morningside has a vomitorium..)...
Thanks, Ron!
Exactly like the rating given to Jim Bakker associate, Larry Bates, The Better Business Bureau has rated The Jim Bakker Show with an "F" rating.
According to the Southwest Missouri BBB website:
"...Factors that lowered The Jim Bakker Show's rating include:
Failure to respond to 2 complaints against business..."
Those wishing to read the actual complaints filed with the BBB can do so as they are both posted on the BBB site.
Wait a tick...just had a great idea for another blog......Robert Tilton!..Now THAT would be interesting....can I get an Amen up in here...hot damn!

Perfect timing...Just tuned in to see the 'Ol Huckster wearing a sombrero pushing chips and salsa...It was awesome! Noticed Lori is starting to look like a banana...
Hey Buckets R Us,
Wish I would have seen that! lol, at the thought of Jim in a Sombrero! He must be catering to the relatives. That must be his new target group. Who knew Mexican illegals had that much money. So how is Jim "pushing" the chips and salsa? How does he claim they'll save you in these last days? How much are the chips and salsa? Was he generous and keep the cost under $100 for a $2 bag of chips? Unbelievable, what a huckster! Gotta hand it to Jim he's the grand master spin meister. Who would fall for buying chips and salsa from Jim, and then have such a warped mind that they would believe they are supporting God's work by investing in Jim. Anyone, who falls for the lie this a Godly ministry needs special meds and a lock up treatment center!
Good to hear from you Buckets R Us.
Watched a bit of the show a few days ago, Jim was excited about the Cinco de Mayo week. He said they would be doing it again next year. Must have been a good money maker.
A few random comments: Noticed that Jimbo was crowing about how he pulled strings to get some high end experimental drug for Lori's Hep B...How did he pull that off? Maybe she is on Obamocare...LOL. Also noticed he is peddling coconut oil now..Love how fat everyone is getting...They must eat all that crap he pushes constantly!
